Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using PocketPay.ai ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PocketPay.ai.

PocketPay.ai is a personal finance and expense tracking mobile application that:

• Automatically detects financial transactions from SMS messages
• Stores financial data locally on your device
• Provides budgeting, analytics, and account management features
• Optionally backs up data to your personal cloud storage

The App is provided "as is" and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful personal finance tracking purposes
• Maintain the security of your device PIN and biometric credentials
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Not use the App to track finances of other individuals without their consent
• Keep the App updated to benefit from security improvements

When you grant SMS read permission, you acknowledge that:

• The App reads SMS messages solely to detect bank transaction notifications
• SMS processing occurs entirely on your device
• No SMS content is transmitted to our servers or third parties
• You may revoke this permission at any time via your device settings
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access messages on the device

PocketPay.ai, its logo, design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by PocketPay.ai. The App is licensed to you, not sold. This license is:

• Non-exclusive and non-transferable
• Limited to personal, non-commercial use on your personal devices
• Revocable upon violation of these Terms

Your financial data belongs entirely to you. We claim no ownership over any data you create or import into the App.

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We expressly disclaim:

• Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Guarantees that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
• Accuracy of automatic SMS transaction parsing
• Responsibility for financial decisions made based on App data

PocketPay.ai is not a financial advisor. Always verify important financial data with your bank or financial institution.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketPay.ai shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data due to device failure, theft, or user error
• Financial losses arising from reliance on App-generated data
• Inaccurate transaction parsing from SMS messages
• Issues arising from third-party services (e.g., Google Drive)

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data
• We strongly recommend using the Google Drive backup feature regularly
• We cannot recover data lost due to device damage, reset, or uninstallation
• Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data

We may update the App and these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through:

• App update notifications on Google Play
• In-app notifications for major changes
• Updates to the "Last updated" date on this page

Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate or suspend access to the App for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your local data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
